Specialists in search engine ranking and placement
One way to evaluate an SEO specialist is to see how well sites they promote rank in search engines. In order to do this you must consider how competitive the search terms are that those sites are listed under. You must also consider a web site's age. A site with interesting or useful content accumulates links to it from sites with a similar focus, over time. These "incoming links" provide a substantial boost on many search engines.

We informally define "competitive search terms" based on how many pages Google returns for a term:
  • Extremely competitive - More then 10 million pages
  • Very competitive - More then 1 million pages
  • Moderately competitive - More then 500,000 pages
  • Slightly competitive - More then 100,000 pages
  • Noncompetitive - Less then 100,000 pages
Listed below are a few of the sites we presently promote. We also characterize how competitive a category each site is in and how long we've been promoting each site. We invite you to use your favorite search engine and see how we're doing. Please note that the search terms included below are the primary phrases we target for promotion and use to track our progress. Sites we promote get listed prominently on numerous additional secondary terms, a natural byproduct of our promotion.

Free Consumer Report and Information Site is a site we've promoted since February of 1999 employing the very competitive phrase "free consumer reports."

WeTrainLA.com is part of the California Community Colleges economic development program. We began promoting this site in November of 2002 on the very competitive search phrase "employee training los angeles."

The Bad Credit Mortgage Site is a promotion we started in October of 2003 targeting the extremely competitive term "bad credit mortgage."

The Search Engine Wiz promotion began in April of 2001 targeting the very competitive term "search engine optimization." Subsequently, we decided to avoid top rankings for this site since we spent too much time writing proposals and too little doing SEO!
